Retainers/Contracted Services

 

Purpose

To establish parameters for contracted professional services.

 

Statement

At least once every five years the Board shall receive and review contract proposals to provide the following services:

1. Auditor
2. Property, liability, fidelity, and workers' compensation insurance brokerage services
3. Legal counsel

Unless there are compelling reasons, no outside college service shall have a contract that extends beyond five years. Any exceptions must be approved by the Clerk or Deputy Clerk and reported to the Board.

The review required in this policy does not restrict the Board from extending or reviewing contracts, when appropriate.
